This approved code of practice (ACoP) is relevant to all workplaces where rider-operated lift trucks are used.
The ACoP contains details of the arrangements which should be in place to ensure the safe operation of rider-operated lift trucks in the workplace and areas covered include:
- design of the workplace
- selection and maintenance of equipment
- training of operators.
- responsibilities of operators
- vehicle operation
