We're an outpatient unit, providing a range of treatment options. We have an 18 station dialysis centre, providing haemodialysis treatment for clients with acute and chronic kidney disease.
Our location
We're located on the third floor of the Gwyneth Huelin Wing. If the doors are locked, there's an intercom system on the right hand side before the door.

Parking is available in Patriotic Street car park, pay using pay cards or the online parking app.
Referrals
Before you can attend the Renal unit, you must have a referral from your doctor you cannot self refer.
Your appointment
We prioritise your first consultation by patient need. We will send you an appointment letter which explains the appointment process so you’ll know what to expect when you arrive. You need to have blood tests a week to 10 days before your appointment.
On the day of your appointment, you need to bring:
- all medications you’re taking including prescriptive medications
- any medicines you’ve bought such as herbal remedies and over the counter medication
- information about any change in details such as a new mobile number, change of address or new GP
Changing your appointment
If you cannot attend or need to change your appointment, contact us as soon as possible, so we can arrange a new appointment for you.
Translation service
If you need a translator, let us know as soon as possible so we can arrange this ahead of your appointment.

Holiday dialysis
We provide care for some patients who are visiting Jersey, subject to availability. To book dialysis, your home renal unit should contact us, and complete and return the paperwork 2 to 4 weeks before your visit.
If you're travelling from a country where there is not a reciprocal health agreement with Jersey, or there is a reciprocal health agreement but it does not include dialysis, we will charge you for the services that we provide.
The current cost of is £323 per session.
Full payment is needed when you arrive.
We accept payment by credit and debit cards. We also accept cash or cheques with prior notification.
Specialist clinics
We run 5 specialist nurse-led clinics.
Anaemia clinic
Treatment of renal related chronic anaemia, including erythropoietin and intravenous iron therapy.
Low clearance clinic
Provides coordinated care for patients with advanced kidney disease. Patients may need renal replacement therapy such as dialysis or kidney transplantation. It also supports patients choosing the conservative pathway.
Pre renal transplant clinic
Referral and assessment service where patients awaiting transplants and donors are seen and assessed.
Post renal transplant clinic
Follow up care, assessment and education for all renal transplant clients.
Peritoneal dialysis clinic
Assessment of patients having peritoneal dialysis at home.
