Ben Hughes sees private patients at the Gloucester Street Clinic.
Specialty
Ben specialises in diagnostic general urology, general urological surgery including prostate cancer diagnosis.
Endoscopic (telescopic) surgery for diseases such as bladder cancer and benign prostatic enlargement causing urinary difficulties.
His subspecialty interest is in treating patients with urinary tract stones.
Training
Ben graduated from the University of Birmingham Medical School in 2002, having completed a BSc in Physiology at Sheffield University in 1997.
He trained at Epsom and St Helier Hospitals in Surrey and spent one year as a research fellow at St George’s Hospital, London.
This was followed by a five year rotation at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge and the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital in Norwich.
He was awarded his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (Urology) in 2012. In 2013, Ben joined Jersey General Hospital as a consultant urological surgeon.
