Salting the roads

Infrastructure and Environment (IE) is responsible for salting the main roads in the event of snow or ice.

All the priority main routes will be salted first. Followed by the remaining scheduled main A, B, and C roads and footpaths.

Parish roads are the responsibility of the relevant parish.

Flooding and sandbags

We have sandbags to deal with flooding on main roads. W​e do not provide any sandbags to the public.
